MediYa is a social-aid medical center that helps and services approximately 500 patients every month.

It was created in 2006 by a group of volunteers from the Valle Interoceánico Foundation. Patient expenses at the center are subsidized thanks to the financial aid provided by self-sufficiency and the good-will of people like yourself.

Sadly, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, donations have been dormant since March of 2020, and Ecuador’s economic situation prevents the center to generate sufficient income to continue to provide enough subsidized services.

The hardship related to the difficult economic situation has also affected our patients who can no longer access our much-needed services, negatively affecting their health. Now, more than ever before, they are in desperate need of the subsidized services that they used to receive through our organization.

These circumstances have strained income and therefore have caused operational impediments which puts the existence of our services, and the benefit of the people who lack resources, at risk.

We need YOUR help in order to ensure the continuity of our services so we can keep improving and protecting our communities’ health in Quito, Ecuador.
